Present at the Muscat 2023 World Veteran Championships in Oman is Bulgaria’s Dimitar Karavainov, a member of the Swaythling Club International.

Wins in opposition to India’s Gurumurthy Kargal (13-11, 11-7, 11-7) and Ukraine’s Volodymyr Antonov (12-10, 11-9, 10-12, 11-4) secured first place in the initial stage group and progress to the main draw.
An opening round bye, in round two he was beaten by Germany’s Jürgen Geiger in a full distance five games encounter (5-11, 11-8, 10-12, 11-6, 11-5).
