Czech members meet in Prague

Following an enforced break of two and a half years owing to the pandemic, members of the Czech Republic Swaythling Clun met in Prague.

Sadly, during this period two members had passed away, Eva Kroupova-Pokorna and Libuse Grafkova-Uhrova; both .Both of them have represented the former Czechoslovakia in World and European Championships.

A special tribute was paid to Josef Dvoracek, men’s singles runner up at the 1980 European Championships in Bern.

Present for the occasion was Zbynek Spacek, the President of the Czech Table Tennis Association; he assured members full support.

In recognition of their long and distinguished service to the sport of table tennis in the Czech Republic, presentations were made to Ostrava’s Zbynek Bajger and the President of KT Prague for long

Jaroslav Stanek chaired the meeting.
