Staged in the Olivo Arena Sports Palace in Jaén, after three days of play on Wednesday 22nd March, Marc Duran and Natalya Prosvirnina emerged the respective men’s singles and women’s singles champions at the 78th Spanish National Championships.

Later, on Friday 24th March, representing Asisa Borges Vall, Marc Duran lined up alongside Viktor Brodd and Alberto Lillo to claim the King’s Cup title; a 3-2 win against the Real Cajasur Priego TM outfit comprising Diogo Chen, Diogo Ferreira and Carlos Machado, secured gold.

Meanwhile, for Natalya Prosvirnina, it was runners up spot in the Queen’s Cup Iberdrola; on duty for Hujase Jaén Paraiso Interior, alongside Alejandra Alejo and Annamaria Erdelyi, a 3-1 defeat was the outcome in the final against Museo de la Almendra Francisco Morales represented by Marija Galonja, Tatiana Garnova and Luca Kumahara.

Overall, no less than 1016 players competed, the event being broadcast live by Teledeporte.
