On Thursday 23rd September, amongst a whole range of events, table tennis was featured at the Saudi Arabian National Day, the day instituted in 1932 when the Kingdom was unified.

At the Alothaim Mall at Alhassa City in the east of the country local people were given the opportunity to play table tennis.

The event was held in co-operation with the Olympic Committee and the Ministry of Sport.

Present for the initiative was Ali Al-Khadrawi who earlier this year in February, at the West Asia Qualification tournament staged in Amman, Jordan, secured his place in men’s singles event the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.
