Korea Republic’s Lee Sangsu and Japan’s Hina Hayata won the respective men’s singles and women’s singles titles at the 2021 ITTF-ATTU Asian Championships in Doha; play concluding on the late afternoon of Tuesday 5th October.

Japan and Korea Republic shared the honours.

Impressively, Korea Republic, selecting from An Jaehyun, Cho Seungmin, Jang Woojin, Lee Sangsu and Lim Jonghoon secured men’s team gold, before Jeon Jihee and Shin Yubin emerged the women’s doubles winners.

Meanwhile, with Minami Ando, Hina Hayata, Miyu Nagasaki, Hitomi Sato and Saki Shibata forming the squad, Japan claimed women’s team gold prior to Shunsuke Togami and Hina Hayata being crowned mixed doubles winners.

Final: Shinosuke Togami / Yukiya Uda (JPN) v Jang Woojin / Lim Jonghoon 13-11, 11-8, 8-11, 11-9)

Women’s Doubles
