Following nine editions, Qiu Dang won the men’s title at the Düsseldorf Masters on Sunday 23rd August, a tournament to which eight players were invited based on their performances in the nine stages of play which had commenced on Monday 1st June. In all previous stages a maximum of 16 players had been invited.
