Names to note for the future, China’s Xu Yi and Ding Yijie emerged the most successful players at the WTT Youth Star Contender Podgorica 2023.
Staged from Tuesday 11th to Saturday 15 April in Montenegro’s capital city, in the under 19 age group Xu Yi won the girls’ singles and partnering colleague, Fan Shuhan, the girls’ doubles.Similarly, in under 15 age group, Ding Yijie joined forces with compatriot Kang Youde to emerge the mixed doubles champion before clinching under 15 girls’ singles gold.
