Having lost narrowly in qualification matches in the two knock-out tournaments to gain a men’s singles place at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games; at the 2021 Latin American Singles and Mixed Doubles tournament in Rosario Argentina, proceedings ended on a high note for Jorge Campos.

He partnered Cuban colleague, Daniela Fonseca Carrazana to mixed doubles success.

Earlier Argentina’s Horacio Cifuentes and Gaston Alto, alongside Puerto Rico’s Brian Afanador and Ecuador’s Alberto Miño had secured Tokyo men’s singles places; in the women’s singles, Puerto Rico’s Melanie Diaz and Chile’s Paulina Vega, in addition to Daniela Fonseca Carrazana, emerged successful.
