A recent nationwide vote by German table tennis fans, Timo Boll was voted “Player of the Year”; Nina Mittelham won the counterpart women’s award, the award for the most talented young player was gained by Annett Kaufmann.
Notably it was the 17th time Timo Boll had claimed the accolade, for Annett Kaufmann three in a row.
The election of the “Player of the Year” is a campaign of the German Table Tennis Association, Joola and the website myTischtennis.de.
