Diane Webb has kindly accepted the proposal of the SCI to write the history of the World Veteran Championships from its early days in Gothenburg in 1982 where there were 451 entries from 23 countries in four age categories playing on 33 tables until the latest Championships, renamed the World Masters Championships, in Rome in the summer of 2024 where playing on 350 tables were 6,100 entrants from 110 countries in 11 age categories as well as disabled events.
To help with the project she is looking for good quality photographs from all Championships but particularly from the earlier tournaments.
